Non-Human Entities Class V
This area of the paranormal represents some of the most controversial and bizarre examples of creatures that may coexist with us.
Angels - Far from being the cute, cherubic children that we hang from Christmas trees, these are beings of incomprehensible power and purity. They are very rarely encountered and only in the most extreme circumstances. Witnesses have consistently reported a feeling of serenity and clarity in their presence.
Demons - Creatures of pure malevolence that are also, fortunately, rarely encountered, though their influence can often be seen. If you see one, the appearance is almost always something bizarre and frightening. Emotional range is from anger to fear, plus a type of self-pity. They are limited in many ways, such as if you maintain a strong enough psychic and spiritual shield, their ability to harm is often greatly reduced. It is critical you do not allow openings or channels for them to work through, such as Ouija boards, heavy drug use, certain types of magic and highly destructive lifestyles.
Elementals - According to magical tradition, these are sentient but generally neutral forces that are attracted to certain places and people. They can manifest in a variety of ways and are often mistaken for a variety of other phenomena.
Banshee - Origin in Irish folklore, this is a wailing spirit which is believed to portend death.
Ghost Lights - These are difficult to classify and may just as easily be considered under Location Based / Earth Mysteries. This phenomena usually manifests as a glowing ball of light and appears consistently in a specific location. Rarely does it stay still, but often bobs and weaves or has even been known to chase witnesses and vehicles. Famous examples are the Marfa Lights in Texas and Brown Mountain Lights in North Carolina.
Wild Hunt - A supernatural train of horsemen, huntsmen and dogs which is said to gallop across the night sky. Any who see it are cursed to join the spectral procession themselves. Roots in Norse / Teutonic mythology. Those who died unbaptized were also said to swell the ranks.
Spirit & Animal Guides - A belief which originates in Native American culture that certain spirits may elect to mentor and protect certain individuals that recognize them. Rather similar to the idea of guardian angels in Christianity.
Lower Astral Entities - Degraded sentient or partially sentient creatures that may be attracted to locations or people in order to drain energy and emotions. May also be known as "attachments"
Etheric Larvae - Very similar to above, but has little or no sentience and they dwell at a lower energy level. (the Etheric Realm) Can also be referred to as attachments.
Animal Ghosts - Self-explanatory, there have been numerous reports that pets, horses and even livestock may come back from beyond to haunt their former home.
Cryptozoology - The realm of fantastic and allegedly mythical animals from dragons to Bigfoot.
Aliens / Fey (Fairy) Folk - Believed to be sentient and highly intelligent beings who manifest or visit the mortal world for unknown reasons. Aliens are believed to be the fairy folk of our day.
"Whoever battles with monsters had better see that it does not turn him into a monster. And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you. "
