Earth Mysteries  Class IV

Earth Mysteries are the newest category of SPI Spirit Classification. Again, lines may blur between this category and Location Based / Residual Hauntings.

Feng Shui / Geomancy - The Chinese study of placement in which it is believed that all objects contain elements of basic energies and affect the flow of energy, or chi, through a structure and the lives of the inhabitants.

Geomagnetic Anomaly - A location that in which activity may be linked to unusual Earth magnetic fields. 

Ley Lines - Highways of energy which crisscross the earth, they are regarded to be important for the placement of sacred sites and other structures. Also known as the "Old Straight Track" as coined by Alfred Watkins in the 1920's.

Portal - Believed to be an interdimensional gateway where spirits may travel through. Elevated activity is normally reported in the area.

Power Points - Often the intersection point of several ley lines where heightened, spiraling Earth energy is gathered.

Time Slips - Believed to be a temporary rift in time in which witnesses see the modern world disappear entirely and find themselves back in the past. Extremely rare.

Vortexes - An area of intense energy, sometimes sacred where elevated levels of activity are recognized or reported by a culture over a long period of time. The Sedona Vortices are a famous example.
